The Mobile Food Pantry program offers, free food and clothing to those in need at ten distribution sites across Suffolk County. Program locations in Bellport, Centereach, Islandia, Middle Island, Patchogue, Port Jefferson Station, Riverhead, Rocky Point, Ronkonkoma, and Shirley. During Thanksgiving season LighHouse Mission provides food assistance for families in need at its Mobile Food pantry sites. Donations can be dropped off at LightHouse Mission's facility at 1543 Montauk Highway Bellport, ny 11713. Monetary donations are also accepted.

Sells used clothing, housewares, books, jewelry, small furniture, cd's and collectibles. Proceeds support the camp for underprivileged girls. Donations accepted.

Provide every-day clothing and business attire to men, women and parents with children seeking assistance. Clothing items are provided seasonally to those in need, from winter items such as coats, hats, gloves, boots, and scarves to lighter clothing for spring, summer, and fall. Call for an appointment.

If you are ineligible for DSS services, please call Long Island Coalition for the Homeless at (631)464-4314. Provides food, clothing, and shelter for the homeless on the East End of Long Island. Overnight emergency shelter is open from November 1st to April 30th. Guests are transported nightly from Maureen's Haven to an assigned host site at locations in Southampton, Southold, Riverhead, and East Hampton. The Kay Kidde Day Center, Case Manager, and Support Services are available year round at the Riverhead location. Services include: case management, housing assistance, access to healthcare providers, counseling, supportive services, programs, daytime respite, food, clothing, job training, educational opportunities, and a community garden. The Homeless Outreach Programs provide critical services to those who need it most. They include: the Summer Weekend Lunch Program, street outreach and responding to concerns about the homeless in our community, and coordinating services among providers for those individuals who are unable or reluctant to access them directly.

Processes applications for a variety of health insurance programs including Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, Family Health Plus (FHP), and Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), Family Planning Benefits Program (FPBP), Baby/Adult Diaper Assistance, Medicaid Buy-In for Working People with Disabilities (MBI-WPD), and the Medicare Savings Program (MSP). Also provides transportation for Medicaid recipients requiring Medicaid-covered services.

A resource for high school students, parents and schools to find organizations and community groups that can provide free prom dresses and tuxedos for students who do not have the means to buy / rent them.
