YOUTH EDUCATION | L.I. AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (LIADV)

Provides age specific education to youth and young adults on Long Island to help reduce the incidence of dating and family violence. Offers engaging and interactive workshops that helps young people recognize the warning signs of dating violence, domestic violence and bullying. Seek to break the cycle of violence by enabling early intervention. Elementary school program focuses on anti-bullying/anti-violent behavior and in-classroom peaceful resolution. High school presentations examine gender roles and healthy dating relationships using printed materials, audio and visual media, audience participation and real-life scenarios.
