SPINAL CORD INJURY REHABILITATION PROGRAM | HELEN HAYES HOSPITAL

Provides rehabilitation services to people with spinal cord injuries resulting from trauma, spinal stenosis, gunshot wounds, forms of myelopathy such as spinal cord compression from tumor or transverse myelitis, and for those recovering from Guillain-Barre Syndrome and other peripheral nervous system disorders. Includes physical, occupational, speech and recreation therapy, ventilator weaning and management, family education, sexual and psychological counseling, treadmill training, exoskeleton, functional electrical stimulation and opportunities to participate in research protocols.
