Offers a program that is made-up of 80 hours of didactic learning that is faculty-led followed by an externship component in the pharmacy practice setting. The ability to integrate theory into real situations within the pharmacy setting will take place during the externship. This program will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board's PTCB exam to become certified. Entrance into the pharmacy technician program requires a high school diploma or equivalent. - Certification takes place through PTCB and is achieved by meeting specific eligibility requirements: Earning a passing score on the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE); Full disclosure of all criminal and State Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure actions and Compliance with all applicable PTCB Certification policies.
