The Economic Development Goals of the Office of Economic Development include: Expand the tax base; Attract employers offering high-wage jobs; Improve housing options by promoting smart-growth, sustainable, and transit-oriented developments (TODs); Invest in public infrastructure to support development (mass transit, roads, utilities); Partner with municipalities and community groups to help implement local visioning plans; Increase opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses and historically disadvantaged business enterprises (MWBE & DBE) and Coordinate with public agencies & the private sector.
