Homeless Services | Schenectady County Department of Social Services (DSS)

The housing office of the Schenectady County DSS provides temporary shelter to homeless families, singles and childless couples in the county. The process begins with an assessment to determine the circumstances causing the need for Temporary Housing Assistance (THA). Services provided by this agency are: Placement and Payment, Housing Resources Development, Case Management Services, and Support Services.
