SCHOOL BUILDING LEADER ADVANCED CERTIFICATE | ST. JOSEPH’S UNIVERSITY

Offers an Advanced Certificate Program which provides the administrative candidate the theory and practice necessary in the preparation for becoming a School Building Leader. The course of study includes educational leadership and administration, educational law, policy and ethics, curriculum and instruction, and an administrative practicum at the school building level. Upon completion of the program, the administrative candidate will have been exposed to the knowledge, skills and dispositions required of school building leaders, thereby providing a strong foundation for taking the NYS SBL certification examination. Sample course offerings include: Educational Leadership: Theory and Practice; Educational Law, Policy and Ethics; School Administration: Theory and Practice; Supervision of Curriculum and Instruction and School Building Leader Internship.
