Enables students with disabilities and adults whose disabilities impose barriers to employment access to independence, work and economically productive lives. VESID oversees special education, provides consultation to students with disabilities transitioning from school to work, and offers counseling, guidance, job preparation and placement services to adults with disabilities. VESID assists business and industry with free recruitment, compliance information on Diversity, Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity, and Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, sensitivity training, and Employee Assistance Program Consultations.
