Eligibility

People seeking asylum in Canada or the United States. Anyone residing inside the United States may contact for support. Shelter will only be provided for eligible people physically on site. Service Area: WNY.

Hours

Staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week asylum seekers needing shelter can arrive at any time. Legal and other specific services offered Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

No fees for shelter stay though there may be taxi related fees for those who need assistance traveling to Canada with applicable asylum claims there.

Provides access to Jericho Road programs and healthcare, referrals to community services, housing, shelter, food, and legal assistance. Families and individuals considering asylum in Canada may face significant risk if they proceed directly to the border without consulting an expert. Staff at Vive can help review eligibility and necessary documents to limit negative consequences.
