NASSAU COUNTY MUSEUMS & PRESERVES | NASSAU COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND MUSEUMS

Manages more than 70 parks, preserves, museums, historic properties, and athletic facilities comprising 6,000 acres throughout the county. The Parks department operates numerous museums and plays host to others by providing the property and physical facilities as well as other services. These museums provide a range of artistic and educational experiences for the public. In addition the Parks Department manages numerous nature preserves. These preserves offers visitors nature trails, access to historic buildings and natural habitats. The parks system provides a tremendous variety of experiences for residents and visitors.
