VETSBUILD | UNITED WAY OF LONG ISLAND

The job training component of United Way's MISSION UNITED program serving veterans and their families. Offers veterans, returning military personnel and their family members basic job training in the emerging Green Industry field. Classes offered in two semesters annually include courses in building, construction, weatherization, energy efficiency and OSHA safety training. Courses held at United Way's state-of-the-art "E3Smartbuild Center" equipped with the latest technology and equipment to provide students with hands-on training. Classes are free to veterans and many include certifications upon completion. Staff assist graduates to connect with employment, advanced training and educational opportunities. Registration is managed by VetsBuild partner United Veterans Beacon House.
