THE COMPANION PROGRAM | RISEWELL COMMUNITY SERVICES

Provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for people who are in recovery from mental illness. The companions are placed in approximately 25 locations including adult homes, nursing homes and also private homes and spend time socializing, sharing wellness tools and providing companionship. This program not only offers volunteer opportunities but it is a pre-vocational program which offers weekly trainings and skill building activities to enhance abilities and readiness for gainful employment. Participants receive a meal allowance, travel reimbursement, paid vacation, sick and personal days, job training and support.
