TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (TESOL) | ST. JOSEPH’S UNIVERSITY

Offers a 15-credit program for current teachers who wish to expand their area of teaching expertise. With the study of the methodology and pedagogy of teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, current teachers will enhance their existing skills in addition to learning new ones. A practicum setting is required as the capstone experience for this K-12 TESOL certification. Teacher candidates who successfully complete this Advanced Certificate program would be eligible to take the NYSED certification examinations for the K-12 TESOL initial certification.
