Offers an 80-hour certificate in 21st Century Not-for-Profit Management in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Long Island Chapter (afpli.org). The program is designed for not-for profit administrators and staff, board members and volunteers, and individuals who may be interested in changing careers. Courses may also be taken on an individual basis without participating in the certificate program. Sample course offerings include: Fundamentals of Not-for-Profit Management; Building a Sustainable Fundraising Program; Not-for-Profit Financial and Legal Issues; Strategic 21st Century Marketing; Using Data and Research to Thrive and Grow; Grant Writing in a Challenging Economy; Creating a Major Gifts Program; Special Events Planning and Volunteer Management and 21st Century Fundraising and Awareness Initiatives.
