DENTAL ASSISTANT | NASSAU BOCES ADULT EDUCATION

Offers a course in Dental Assisting. Train to become an important part of a professional dental office. Learn the necessary skills to work with a dental team to provide patients with an excellent experience. Prepare to assist with all dental procedures including four-handed dentistry, tray set-ups, infection control and sterilization techniques. Study dental anatomy, oral cancer detection, radiology, and the uses of instruments and equipment. In addition, participate in an externship program and gain administrative and communication skills to make a dental office run smoothly. Upon completion, you will be ready to work in all types of dental offices. Additional courses in CPR and OSHA-10 are offered.
