The Parent-Child Home program is an early childhood literacy, school readiness, home visiting program that provides parents the knowledge and skills to help their child be successful in school and life. Home visits take place twice a week for 30 minutes with two- and three-year old's over a two-year period, for a total of 92 visits. A book or toy which becomes a gift to the family is the focus of the visit. The trained Home Visitors model behaviors that encourage parental interaction with their child such as reading, playing and conversing. PCHP assist parents who are unable to purchase educational books/toys or send their child to preschool.
