CHILDREN'S READINESS CENTER | NASSAU BOCES DEPARTMENT OF SPECIAL EDUCATION

Offers a program for students ages 5-9 who have Significant Developmental Delays including Autism and Intellectual Disability. Students who attend the CRC are provided with a highly individualized instructional and behavioral approach in a small class setting (6:1:2). The programs at CRC utilize strategies incorporating Applied Behavioral Analysis. Goals include developing language, communication, and socialization skills as well as decreasing interfering behaviors. At CRC, a total communications approach is used to include the Picture Exchange Communication System. Families are provided with behavioral and educational strategies in school for use with their children at home. Call for detailed information.
