SHARPS PROGRAM | STONY BROOK EASTERN LONG ISLAND HOSPITAL

Offers a service so individuals can leave sharps with the screening clerk in the hospital lobby between 10am and 12pm, Monday to Friday. Sharps must be securely stored in a plastic, puncture-proof container with a tight-fitting lid. Acceptable options include screw-top plastic containers, such as those used for laundry detergent or bleach. Glass containers are strictly prohibited and will not be accepted.
