Eligibility

The Special Recreation Summer Program is offered to special needs children ages 5 (must have completed kindergarten) to 11. The child must be enrolled full time in a self-contained Special Education class and reside in the Town of Brookhaven

Offer year round recreational activities for developmentally disabled adults residing in the Town of Brookhaven. Programs include Saturday bowling, dances, exercise classes, movie nights, bingo nights, walking program and mini golf days. A program for children ages 5-11 years of age is offered for six weeks starting immediately after schools release for summer vacation. Activities include arts and crafts, swimming, physical education, games and field trips.
