Must be legally blind between ages of 18 to 55 and resident of Nassau or Suffolk counties. Not eligible for vocational rehabilitation services, not currently receiving services through another Commission of the Blind program

Offers legally blind individuals, ages 18 to 55, services geared to promote independent living that focus on each participant's specific needs. Services provided by nonprofit organizations, low vision certified ophthalmologists and optometrists may include adaptive equipment, orientation and mobility services, low vision devices, social work casework and rehabilitation teaching.
