Eligibility
Individuals and families with a total household income of $60,000 or less who:- Are US citizens, green card holders, or married to one- Had income from wages, self-employment, and / or government benefits- Had self-employment expenses of $35,000 or less- Did not own rental property- Did not sell a house (unless it was a primary residence, the gain was less than $250,000 ($500,000 if filing jointly), and have not sold another house in the last 2 years- Did not declare bankruptcy in 2024- Did not sell, exchange, or otherwise dispose of virtual currency
Required documents
- Social Security Card for each member of the household being claimed (Form SSA-1099 will work in lieu of the card)- Picture ID for the taxpayer who will sign the return- If choosing direct deposit: banking information, including the name of the bank, routing, and account number- Tax forms showing income- Copy of 2023 and 2024 tax returns, if available
