PUTNAM COUNTY BUREAU OF EMERGENCY SERVICES
The mission of the Bureau is to provide prompt and efficient emergency assistance to residents and visitors of Putnam county. Maintains communications and is responsible for the 911 system. Plans for response, mitigation and recovery from natural and man-made disasters including biological, nuclear, incendiary, chemical and explosive causes. Also manages and administrates training programs for Fire and EMS agencies in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, manages an advanced life support system and maintains a stockpile of emergency supplies and sheltering facilities as may be required.
