GERIATRIC PSYCHIATRY OUTPATIENT PROGRAM | ZUCKER HILLSIDE HOSPITAL - NORTHWELL HEALTH

Offers comprehensive mental health services for older adults. Therapy and medication management are provided for diverse conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders and dementia disorders. Support is also available for the families of geriatric patients of the program. Most major insurances are accepted. The Senior Treatment Enhanced Program (STEP) is a service within the geriatric clinic that offers brief subacute care for older adults. It serves either as a transitional setting for the recently discharged older adult psychiatric patients or as an alternative to acute psychiatric inpatient hospitalization. STEP includes individual and group psychotherapy sessions that older adults can attend several times a week. Call for detailed information.
