Provides a free and anonymous 24 hour telephone helpline (also with a crisis text line) for counseling, crisis intervention, information and referral, chemical dependency services, and clinic appointments. Also provide suicide prevention call boxes at local Hudson Valley Bridges: Mid-Hudson FDR, Beacon/Newburgh, Bear Mountain, Kingston/Rhinecliff, Rip Van Winkle, and Walkway Over the Hudson. Through HELPLINE you can access appointments, information and referrals for Hudson Valley Mental Health, Astor Services for Families and Lexington Center for Recovery, as well as the Department of Behavioral and Community Health.
Additionally, Dutchess Helpline APP is available to obtain services of suicide prevention and awareness, which includes: “Call for help” and “Text for help” direct links, Interactive Safety Plan, Suicide Prevention tools, Narcan Information & Training, Resource map showing local food pantries and behavioral health facilities, Calendar with scheduled training and activity events hosted by DBCH, other county departments and more, Mental Health Tips - articles and videos for mental wellness.
