Offers a part-time program that is designed for individuals who wish to secure employment in the HVAC/R industry as well as for those who are currently employed or seeking to re-enter the workforce. This certificate program gives students the opportunity to complete their course work in a shorter period of time than the degree program. Throughout the program students have the opportunity to take the EPA Section 608 certification exam will enable them to obtain the skills and the credential for employment in an ever-changing industry. Students wishing to pursue the A.A.S. degree in HVAC/R can apply credits earned in the certificate program towards the associate degree. This certificate includes some courses that may be offered day, evening or weekend. Call for more detailed information.

Enrolls 21,000 students in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, at its three campuses in Selden, Brentwood and Riverhead. SCCC offers the Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree, as well as a variety of certificate programs. Each year, Suffolk County Community College prepares students to enter the workforce upon graduation in such marketable areas as medical records, physical therapist assistant, paralegal, nursing, culinary arts and many other fields. Other students transfer to four-year colleges and universities to complete their baccalaureate degree.
