Unemployed and out-of-school youth ages 18-24 years. SNAP recipients encouraged to apply.

Provides unemployed young adults, ages 18-24, the opportunity to transform their lives and roles in society. Enables participants to continue their education, learn job skills and serve their communities by building green, energy efficient and affordable housing. Other career certifications offered include Certified Nursing Assistant, Early Child Care, Home Health Aide, Dietary Aide, Medical Billing and Coding, Mechanics Helper and Manufacturing. YouthBuild curriculum integrates academics with life skills. Students spend 6-12 months dividing their time between a housing construction site and an education facility which provides TASC (formerly GED) education, job training, career advancement, leadership development, counseling and graduate support.
