Eligibility

Suffolk resident, females 18-24, pregnant/parenting. Access to all Emergency Housing for Homeless Persons Requires a Referral by a DSS office location/hotline operator. For Nassau, please call (516)227-8519 or the evening/emergency number at (516)573-8626. For Suffolk County, please call (631)854-9517 or the evening/emergency number at (631)854-9100. If you are ineligible for DSS services, please call Long Island Coalition for the Homeless at (631)464-4314.

Required documents

Admission is voluntary, residents may stay up to one year. If you are pregnant, or have a child and are homeless call 631-363-6009 to schedule an intake.

Application process

Call the house to schedule an intake. Residents in the two mother/baby homes can expect to receive case management, counseling, psychiatric services if needed, and ongoing parenting skills training in the home environment.

Offers shelter program and residence in Sayville for homeless females ages 18-24 who are pregnant/parenting and their children. Counseling and referral services for youth and families in crisis. While in the program, residents receive childcare on site while they continue their education or attend school.
