Works to preserve natural resources, encourages the use of natural resources in capacities that enhance the environment, advocates an ecologically sound approach to regional, environmental planning, educates public to act in the best interest of the environment, recommends and undertakes action in government policies that effect the environment, and conducts projects and programs on behalf of preserving the environment.
